Well, I think I may have learned my lesson....at least for the next few days. ^_^
Alright, it's dead week....all the final projects and such are due during this week and finals come next week. I had two classes in which there was a final due today. They tell you about these things first day of class so that you can think about them for the next 4 months and work on them as time comes up.
My time came up. And it left.
I did everything but work on these projects. I read a lot of books.....I picked up 2 part time jobs.....I spent lots of time out having fun.....I helped a friend complete his Eagle project.....I even cleaned my room...amazing, yes I know.
So it's Sunday (yesterday) before the following two projects are due....I have church in the morning and work from 5pm-10pm.
Project #1 - 8-10 minute powerpoint presentation comparing something Japanese to something American. I chose to do Visual Kei bands vs American Boy Bands. We have to record, or speak live, through the entire presentation.....
Project #2 - 3 page, single spaced term paper on something about Ethno-something-or-other and blah-culture-thingy......Yeah, everyone gave up on that, so we all just wrote about some aspect of Japanese culture. I took the easy way out and chose to just write about the culture in general.
So, 9 comes around and I get off work early and come home to start working. I work and work and work and work...then take a 10 minute break, then work and work some more. I fight with the thing about how it's going to work, then it finally does what I want, and then I start typing my paper and then work on presentation some more. At 4am, I have a headache coming along, have been up for 19 hours, and I'm so tired of seeing homework. I have most of the presentation done at this point (one slide to go) and one of three pages typed. I set alarm for 6am and fall asleep around 4:30.
Slept through the alarm.....woke up at 7:30, paniced, felt retarded for panicing, then realized I was right to panic. Presentation only half way worked when I got to another computer.
No sound.
I mean, really...it's only the most important part.
I freak out and get all mad about it, then go to class way too late to turn in the term paper I finished during the freak-out time. A guy in the class explains to me what I need to do to fix my presentation, so I skip my next class to come and fix it.
It lived!!!
....and I almost didn't have to present today. *sigh* I was the last to go!
And I'm going to shut up now and stop with the whining. I should be leaving soon, I hope....just waiting on a text.
